Emil Praslick
U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit, Head Coach (Ret.)
Emil Praslick III is universally regarded as one of the foremost authorities on wind reading and precision marksmanship coaching in the world, bringing an unmatched competitive shooting pedigree to MLSC25.

Praslick's military career included service in the elite U.S. Army Ranger Battalion before he became the Head Coach of the United States Army Marksmanship Unit (AMU), where he established himself as perhaps the most successful coach in American military shooting history. Under his leadership, the AMU achieved unprecedented success, with Praslick holding more team wins than any coach in U.S. Military history, including 20 national and international shooting records and 33 Inter-Service Rifle Championships.

His coaching philosophy integrates both traditional marksmanship principles and cutting-edge techniques. Praslick is known for his ability to develop both the technical and mental aspects of competitive shooting, focusing on analytical decision-making under pressure. His approach emphasizes that excellence in precision shooting requires not just technical skill but also strategic thinking comparable to a chess match.

After retiring from the Army, Praslick continued his involvement in precision shooting as Head Coach of the US National Long Range Rifle Team and later joined Berger Bullets as their Sponsorship Director in 2016. He currently serves as Director of Business Development at Capstone Precision Group, LLC, maintaining his influential role in the precision shooting community.

What sets Praslick apart is his systematic approach to wind reading and environmental data analysis. His instructional videos on these topics have become required viewing for serious long-range shooters, and his training methodologies have been adopted by military, law enforcement, and civilian precision shooters worldwide.

At MLSC25, participants will have the exceptional opportunity to learn from a coach whose methods have helped produce numerous champions and whose understanding of external ballistics in variable conditions is unparalleled in the shooting sports.
